Heavy armors should give more defence than now.

Recommended Posts

We all know how much the speed modifier is important in Don't Starve series. Marble armor has a whopping 95% defence but most of the experienced players not prefer using it in combat due to its speed debuff. The importance of moblity is also very important in Rotwood too. If there's more than one rots are attacking you at the same time, the best way to stably avoid their attacks is just make a distance from them. The short invincible window of dodge is not enough to avoid all of their different attack timing. It feels very similar to avoid the attacks of hounds, frogs or splumonkeys in Don't Starve series when playing in higher frenzy levels.

But the stats heavy armors in Rotwood offers are kind of mediocre compared to the light armors of the same stages. For example :

Those armors both can be found in the Molded Grave. The right ones offer only 10% more defence despite its heavy weight. Figurately speaking it's like a marble armor offers you mere 82% defence while a log suit offers 80% in Don't Starve. Since managing player hp is one of the most important thing in this game, the heavy armors should offer way more defence ability than now they do. Or viable "Set Bonus" aspect can be added to the Rotwood to compensate the weight system.

also, in general the heavy armors are the zone base based ones, like the gusttree and snortoise, so when you leave that zone theres not much use to them and have to grind to buy and uograde a new set
