I hope it does. Having infinite water for Winter farming cuts down so much of the effort needed for out of season farming.

Yes farm plots stop losing water to ambient evaporation when the temps r cold enough like in winter or within crystaleyezer range but farmplants still consume water as they grow so the water is not infinite. 
 

rain rituals will saturate all the farm plots within a small radius around u when read even in winter. Thats how i water crops most of the time as Wickerbottom. Ill read it twice when i want to water the plots but not deal with rain lol

I was referring to how the moisture level of farm plots cannot be reduced below the moisture level of the world. At least that’s what I’ve observed during Spring and read on the wiki.

If the moisture level of the world becomes static then presumably there would be an infinite amount of water for the plants to consume.
