Remove festive light durability, and allow them to be stackable

Recommended Posts

Pretty much the title! As of now it feels a bit clunky for Festive lights to have durability, as it doesn’t really impact too much (as they are already hard to obtain as is, and their main application for mushlights/glowcaps isn’t really impacted by it as they still work in them at 0%) and makes them bulky for storage. Having them be infinite and stackable would be a very nice QOL change, with minor implications that it means lights on the grounds/on trees would not wear out after 160 days.

I always thought that you Needed the light in order to successfully “Sleep” near a fully decorated tree and get your WintersFeast gifts, it wasn’t until THIS YEAR that someone on these forums informed me of otherwise.. & that I had been getting my winter gifts the “Hard Way” by having to fight Feastclops or fish them out the Oasis in Summer.

Anyway the Festive lights only lose durability when they’re in active use, so prior to this new found highly embarrassing knowledge that I don’t even NEED the lights, you can simply do like I have always done and access the decorations on your tree and remove the festive lights storing them into storage chests when not in active use. This will prevent their durability from draining until their in active use again.

But since the lights ARENT actually required to obtain WF gifts, AND the Ticket Booths from Midsummers Cawnival provides free infinity light then your 100% right that WF lights shouldn’t lose durability.

Im pretty sure there may be some super late game usages for them that I’m not advanced far enough into the game to experience (such as maybe placing in a Celestial Crown or something fancy like that..)

but for just being on a WF tree, they probably shouldn’t lose durability anymore..
