You are taking tons of damage.

Not really keep in mind his armor does aoe damage and will shred hordes in afew hits nor does that mean you need to take every bite that comes your way.

almost same thing as saying everyone oneshot hounds, they just need to run around for half a minute around beefalos

Depending on your horde size with Webber they'll change target due to being body blocked but even with a smaller horde you can just use a boomerang or fire staff to have your horde pick them off not really a need to be passive with your extermination.

Wurt and Webber are in high teir. They essentially one hit hounds once their followers aggro on them.

Problem with webber is surely he can't be with his spiders constantly.

What chirsg says here is actually applicable to Wurt however as keeping her horde on you at all times isn't as feasible as Webber even if it's mostly possible. On the other hand since merms will naturally protect her regardless of if they're her followers turtling can be a effective strat for her alongside just building merm settlements throughout the map as another alternative though that's mostly the same as using pigs or arguably worse since pigs will engage on their own while merms will wait until Wurt is harmed. (Speaking of which perhaps we could add a skill to her eventual skill tree to make merms attack those who aggro on her not jist those who attack her.)

Just to be clear the Pigs example assumes a player makes more pig houses which tbf would be fairly expensive compared to merm homes.

should've probably made it more clear that i meant that you also need to wait for them to finish fighting

If your going the passive route you can skip the waiting by using a snurtle shell then start fighting alongside your horde when they change target.

ik, still not an oneshot, that's why i compared that to saying that aggroing hounds onto beefalos is an oneshot

Normally only 1-2 hounds spawn at once, before a short break where more come. You are still taking alot of damage.

I mean why would you tank 1 to 2 hounds at a time though? You'd either fight them 1 by 1 or fight them all at once making use of the spread damage as you fight.

The main difference between Webber and the beefalo is you can't carry a beefalo horde with you however.

the point was that it doesn't make sense to call aggroing enemies onto other enemies/minions an oneshot, not comparing merms/spiders to beefalo

Sorry I understand I missed the point.
