Suggestion for Pudgy beefalo (Tanking beefalo?)

Recommended Posts

Pudgy beefalo shouldnt lose domestication, once tamed you should be able to park it in the base without a salt lick and it be a permanent pet you can cuddle beside for sanity. This wouldnt be a op effect like with the other more useful beefalo types.

They should make an abused beefalo tendency. If you barely feed it just above the domestication threshold and whip it often. You basically get a beefalo that drains your sanity + weaker stats + loses domestication faster + bucks you off at random + does a scared animation like spiders when you get close.

Edit: Shaving your beefalo gets you to this tendency faster. Also Klei please add beefalo castration, Infanticide is tiring even when the reward is yummy delicious food.

Cause i'm evil muhahahaha. This is a good way to promote Anti animal abuse... or the just promotes animal abuse idk, DST community is... interesting to say the least.

I approve. We need a way to enslave other creatures and use them to our advantage too.

We get pigs to work in tree chopping and put a big metal ring around their neck a d slap them to work faster. They would get skinny overtime and die randomly.

Too disturbing and sad.

Beefalo's used to have unused animations for cowering in fear from the player if you whipped them too much. It was listed as 'whipped_positive'.
There's a left over named 'whipped_negative' that showers them growing angry, instead.

The animations suggest there was an alternate way to domesticate them via abuse. It obviously didn't get very far.

The idea in my head looked much worse. Scratches, Bruises, Bald beef. More i think about it, less fun and more depressing the idea becomes.

Add a way to remove their horns without killing them.

That would be weird, even killing them has 33 percent chance of drop.

Yeah but then you dont have to kill them and still benefit from their horns

They could use The Gorge beefalos, they were like this.

We need a way to milk beefalos too. But they have to be forced to impregnate.

We would have to mark them their skin with s scolding hot metal to mark them by number too.

That would make the game less "uncompromising" unless getting the horn is harder then it is. I remember decimating a whole herd and not getting one.

Maybe you get only a piece by removing the horns, and 4 pieces in the refine that would yield 1 horn

I think that the right way to castrate them is to sedate them with a stronger sleeping dart and then removing it with razor and sewing back with the sewing kit.

But then we would have to add a surgeon skill tree, so only a few characters would castrate the females.

I have an the idea but that would require a whole beefalo overhaul. Basically beefalo charge attack like rooks or Moosdie and when colliding with boulders they drop their horns and their damage drops to 15 now. Domesticated beefs can perform this too, beefs need a way to deal with hordes.

That's almost what I had in mind, but then we need more realistic ways to make this happen. Like when their horns break like that, some red substance would flow out of it, making it to the eyes and giving them this distinguished look of a fighter beefalo.

In this overhaul, we definitely need a way to make so their both back legs break in the impact, making them easier to domesticate and reducing their walking speed by 30%

Something about a beefalo with broken horns, legs, shaved, metal tatoo marks, metal gear around their neck, sad when approached and screaming when getting whipped while I'm on a saddle would make DST my perfect dream experience.

We need a way to feed them gloomer goop too, so they get sick by it and start slurping some white liquid around their mouth that gets stucked and solidified around their beard.

That would make domestication easier.

But glommer goop is healthy.

Honestly. We need a way to randomize things more, it's so boring to predict his movement all the time. So removing their eyes with a shovel would be a nice addition.

If they die in the process, we definitely should add beefalo liver as a drop. And feed then to hounds to domesticate them.

Well then it would be perfect, cause he would survive for longer while in these conditions!

We should make so his carcass gets eaten by hounds when he dies instead of simply disappearing.

Beefalo horn soup should be a recipe.

Beefalo fried liver with onions also.

This is full on turning into beefalo mortal combat update. Or animal abuse update.

We should be able to remove their skin from their carcasses and use it to make a rooftop for a siesta lean to recipe instead of silk

Yeah we need a whole new animal abuse update. Why only meat drops when they die?

Catcoon tails could be removed in the surgeon skill tree added in wickerbottoms skill tree and used to make the hat without killing them.

Catcoons without a tail would not be able to attack or mate, they would get sick from infection and later on their carcasses would be shown getting eating half alive by bugs on the ground.

Getting close to it or touching it would give you leprosy. A debuff that reduces the character's ability to wear anything for 18 days.

The only way to heal it would be through killing sharkboi while he is begging to be left alone, and then collecting his fin and scales for skin treatment.

We need a whole diseases come back arc.

Maybe rabid hounds and vargs? The plague from new rat mobs?
