1. You are twisting my words. Calling it thirst for money is greatly exaggerated. DS's DLC's was also for the "Thirst of money" because money is what drives them further like anything does. It has nothing to do with thirst or greed for money. Companies need money to thrive and Klei is not a greedy company by a long shot. And the Story in DST is not finished which is why they can update the game until they see fit. Like what they did with DS which had a story, and an ending. 

2. No it cannot. nothing of DST's content regarding the plot can be transfered into DS without ruining the timeline and the plot. The rifts are happening because of the events that's transpiring in DST, not DS. The atrium has no reason to exist in DS when it adds nothing to the story at this time. And no a sheep, beefalo riding and fences being added to DS is not an example for this when it literally changes nothing of the plot in both DST and DS. Adding in rifts, atrium, fuelweaver, lunar island creates plotholes which you seem to be highly against. You want content for the sake of content with no rhyme or reason just because you cannot accept the fact that DS is finished and you cannot move on as harsly as that sounds. 

Don't starve is finished, dunso, has been for years. move on or keep yourself in denial.

I don't agree with you here and there are some fibs but you got to let it go. This topic is becoming pretty pointless and kind of a waste of time and energy. It wont progress positively.

Too lazy to reply to the bullet points, but personally I don't consider DST a sequel for the very simple reason that it doesn't meaningfully carry on the story, insofar as it can be said to have a story at all.

I don't really see what "the devs have said so repeatedly" has to do with it. They can call it what they like. Doesn't change the fact that for most people, the definition of sequel does involve some concept of things being sequential.

This thread confuses the heck out of me, and it’s well kinda my “Job” to confuse the heck out of everyone, I am a writer after all. Yet somehow this… this is on a whole new level, in a league all its very on.

I don’t understand why the OP can’t just play DST in solo play, I mean yeah it’s difficult, probably even more than it needs to be.. some mobs and swarms could use a good tone down when they’re isn’t a team of players to tackle that content.. but for the most part- DST is still completely playable Alone.

What I DON’T understand however is why Klei continues to go back to an old already finished game and continue to add new content into it- Case in point: Single player DS NEVER Needed tameable, Rideable Beefalo.. 

I accepted them in DST because mobs in DST have more health and therefore the Beefalo Help balance that out (you can even take Beefalo into and out of caves or on sea adventures)

But adding them to DS which had lower health mobs and less dangers was nothing more than fan service to people wanting them in the original game.

this is the part where I desperately beg Klei to stop touching the Original Game, it’s a completed product, and I enjoyed my time with it, I still sometimes go BACK to play Solo DS to experience content prior to all the changes DST has made.

Yes I actually play DSA to enjoy Pre-Reworked Wendy, No Sailable Oceans, Etc… so as much as YOU Would like DS to became identical to DST…

I would prefer Klei left DS Alone and let a finish product end development time and resource costs (outside of bug fixes or a QoL update that adds DST skin support or something..)

DS is a gem of a game, and If Klei was to go back and add all DST content into it.. They’d ruin that.

This topic is meaningless because none of you are even trying to take it seriously.
You either go off topic and start talking about something else .

Or you're trying to say that I'm wrong, but you either can't or don't want to explain to me why I'm wrong.
This is topic and the rest of it is literally "ehhh ehhh your because you are wrong".
I just asked you for your opinion. Some fools start trolling, others actively tax, others laugh, others try to say "you're wrong", but.

Some fool in other posts came up with the idea that it was difficult for me to kill bosses in DST and insult me with it, although I didn't say that.
