I was really happy to see the critter condos and then really disappointed to find out they need to be in a stable.  I want to have critter condos in the dupes rooms and other places. I guess I'll just have to look out for a mod for that.

Curiously the Waterfort does not need to be in a stable. It just has to have every tile covered by a liquid tile. This is probably because pacu don't need to be in a stable to be tamed but who knows.

I really like the new sandbox placing tool for story traits. It is lovely to include new traits in an established colony that easily. However, there is one minor irksome detail: I wanted to pursue a few more achievements with my current colony. Activating Sandbox mode, however, disables achievements. It would be nice if there could be something like "place missing story trait"-mode without disabling achievements.

Mods from Steam Workshop don't disable achievements. And I believe there was mod allowing to enter snanbox without disabling achievements as well. You can use that I guess

Not a fan of the new idle indicator under Diagnostics...for one thing it's not readily visible who's idle (especially in Spaced Out across planetoids) but also because it's often incorrect due to the delay in how it calculates idleness.

I get that it seems to be removing the annoying idle messages (especially during rocket missions) but I don't think essentially hiding those messages is good for those who actually want to see them.

+10000

The missing idle indicator is VERY annoying.

Klei! We need an official update to show the range of all pump and air purifiers, after an update I found that the mod to show these items stopped working, because official update replaced some of its function in many machines which may lead it to stopping working. But that update obviously can't cover all its function. It's nice to have that kind of official functions, but I feel disturbing about the disapearance of the showing range of pumps and air purifiers.:blue:

ONI always has the previous update as a version in the beta dropdown, so you can play on the older version while mods are getting updated.

ONI has been one of the "BEST" options to do this.. i wish more would.

HOWEVER!!! I would like a option to freeze the mods as well... to stop the updates.. i know i can zip up the mods folder and replace as needed. there might be a way somewhere to minimize the updates.. but i have not found a way to 100% stop it..

So... Pacu farms will now go from being "not crowded" on 1 tile of water to being "not crowded" on 1 tile of water inside an open door? Am I reading this correctly?...

Though, holy moly, I never thought we'd get something as wild as STORAGE TILES in vanilla. This opens up a new world of possibilities, super exciting!

Added an automation port to suit checkpoint buildings to disable them.

You can restore the old Idle notification behavior with the Idle Notification Tweaks mod, which also has an option to suppress notices from busy rockets:
