why does ur reference put Dont starve together in list of "game included"
but ur refence of example is listed as add ons? while its stand alone dlc as u said.
isnt this refence just blatantly said that dont starve together is its own game and not a stand alone DLC ???
enlighten me pls

Hey maybe instead of complaining about Klei not updating their game, which is better off not receiving any new content to begin with, how about you be the change you want to see and start making mods.

sadly its way easier to complain and demand than actually do something

still bothers me that out of nowhere someone started demanding that klei update and give content to their old and completed game, even more so that they also wanted a new game. Not like Klei has all the time to make all this happen, right?

It's kind of selfish to ask a person with 0 experience in modding to do what Klei didn't want to do while making a mod for the DST that I want, there won't be enough existing modding guides and I need to understand from scratch how to transfer content and create a new one from scratch.

Someone does not believe that Klei would have coped with this. And you suggest that I do it alone, without suitable guides. I can spend many months of my life and not even make a crooked and somehow working mod.

I am an ordinary player, not a team of professional mod creators

Something is a broken mod without scripts and 90% of the necessary files that will crash the game. A waste of time

I don't demand it. I just think that your current Klei situation is extremely stupid. And DS does not meet the standards of an independent first game. Sequels do not transfer the content of the first game. And if you think that this is a standalone DLC's, then it's kind of stupid that DLC's copies copies the content of the main game and becomes more of it

Klei doesn't care about solo players, that's all.

And? Do I require developers to spend all their time on DS ? Let at least make DST a normal game and finally complete this the circus of non-canonicity of two games .

My first concern is that Klei may abandon DS forever.

Secondly, the fact that DS and DST players are separated, although Klei did not tolerate Shipwrecked and Hamlet only because they did not want to separate the players.

It's best to leave Don't Starve be. Wouldn't want its experience to be tainted with modern DST.

What aspects of DST do you think could ruin the DS experience? I'm interested in your opinion

In a nutshell:

From creepy and immersive forest to yippie kayay happy land.

Lately the happy unicorn land has also been planted with skill trees for the green organic friendly feel.

What about Atrium, Ancient Fuel weaver and Shadow Pieces, Nightmare Werepig and maybe moon hounds. Are they creepy enough to be in DS?

Well yes, good point. But they cost time and money too.

From DST it can be seen that it is more leaning towards attracting general audience, and there's just simply more people playing DST (Especially so with the collaborations and 10th anniversary discount). I'd say DS players are about 10% of the player base. That's honestly a very optimistic guess, mind you.

So it just isn't very appealing to add these bosses into the Classic DS, especially when they are tied to the DST lore(btw DST lore is like a spin off) in some form.

Well. All about money
Online DS is usually 10-15 times less than in DST.
Although DS has not received content for 4 years from the part, so it is so low online

Well, there is no direct attachment of DST content to lore. Lore DST is very inaccurate and few things have the status "This definitely did not happen before DST"

If Klei wanted to, she could make DS not only a prehistory of DST, but also an alternative plot.

If this portal had moved Wilson to another world, then Maxwell and Wilson would never have built the portal together and all the survivors would have remained in their worlds.
And every survivor would have to fight the trials of Charlie on their own.
Then we would have seen what trials Charlie created for Shipwrecked and Hamlet world.

Although some things like Atrium and Ancient Archive 100% exist in DS. But we haven't received the update yet)

Ewecus appeared in DS after its appearance in DST

Shipwrecked is more empty. Only 3 bosses and alter tree guard.
Biomes are the second variation of DS biomes. Volcano... According to the idea, it should be similar to Ruins...
But it is both smaller and less diverse than ruins.
Hamlet is the largest DS DLC.
Although I value RoG more because filling an empty DS world is more valuable than creating a new empty world.

Moving to Shipwrecked and Hamlet is an interesting thing...
But it would really work only in DST, because there are a lot of raid bosses and a very large map, which is why useful Shipwrecked and Hamlet items would help a lot.

I'm not so sure about Shipwrecked's emptiness. Through whole year, 4 seasons you have a lot things to do, also exploring world is quite longer than Hamlet. Shipwrecked is exotic RoG in good mean of it. When Hamlet cannot even grow in half to RoG or Shipwrecked, sad to say it or write it but Hamlet is never ended DLC. I can understand that people likes Hamlet 'cause it makes game easier and has uniqe things but still it's the tinies DLC. Small world, less enemies, too small or not enough pig ruins. Once you found second pig town and get item to make between-DLC portal, you can come back to Hamlet just for "town hammer" and backpack from Herald, nothing more is needed.

Pig town is too strong and quite killing part of survival element of game. 3 seasons are boring, you have one moon "event" with exclusive boss but you don't have to stay on Hamlet whole time to get it, you can go in RoG or SW and come back after while to Hamlet. Where is part of survival? Where is deadly jungle? Where are uniqe treeguards or any minibosses/champs? Where is Pig with Quests? Why Pigs don't know and don't talk about post-war biomes and post-war parts of boss? There was big potential but Hamlet is left in early access.

Hamlet has the best bosses of the game, but there are few of them in the Project and they are among the simplest.

The entire giant Shipwrecked map is the main DS biomes without DLC and their alternatives. The only most unique biome is a Volcano, but you will find all the necessary biomes in the first 20 day

And on the rest of the map, only the Volcano is interesting.

2 seasonal bosses and Quacken can be killed in 2-3 seasons.

After that, you can live out a year and leave the DST. Hamlet is as empty as Shipwrecked, but it is more dynamic, has cooler bosses and the rest of the islands have at least some value.

Shipwrecked and Hamlet are 2 times more empty than RoG, and RoG is 5 times more empty and taskless than DST
