DST Klei Official Servers Need A Change

Your opinion isn't relevant. No one's is. The point is that everyone has different opinions, and Klei doesn't want to decide who's right and who's wrong. Join a community server that shares the same opinions as you and they can enforce rules accordingly.

Yeah and it's called democracy. The voting option decides if players opinions becomes relevant or not. Maybe I wouldn't like their opinion, but it's something I am willing to tolerate rather than removing rollbacks or vote kicks all together.

The problem is ultimately that they're public, official, and vanilla, and thereby the most likely for random unrelated people to join; that's not a tight-knit enough group to enforce wild west justice if it requires effort. Vote kicking only happens because the game makes it easy to mob up on someone; if the players had to instead actually work together to remove problem individuals, it wouldn't happen, and the servers would be even worse.

On the other side of it, having moderation on something official leads to a case where every act of enforcement can be seen as picking favorites if the same standards aren't perfectly applied even once, and this is a game where people have historically been at eachother's throats over the simplest aspects of how it 'should' be played, so that's a whole host of problems Klei would have to deal with.
We already saw parts of the Forums basic functionality get gutted over them not wanting to spend time on that sort of thing; it's just not a real option. At least in the case of community mob justice via vote, it can be brushed off as not technically any one party's fault.

To fix the crazy levels of server griefing, i would hope that giving a group of players to be genuine player with the ability of banning people might fix it. This would not only stop the incredible base griefing but it would also intimidate those who login into official server to think twice before burning a base down.

This is probably the worst solution to the problem. Giving certain players banning ability would wreck havoc with power tripping players who will just ban people that don't agree with their playstyle. Intimidating players to play a certain way is a really bad idea in a sandbox game like DST.

It would depend on how thoroughly vetted they were, but, yeah, this is what's most likely to happen in that scenario. And even if they were all sensible when they were picked, they might not stay that way.
