 To get one thing clear, you are now able to trap cats in traps and collect them in your inventory.

 

 

 

It can be crafted using 12 palm cone scales, 5 boards and 3 catcoons. Crafting the structure instantly brings your naughtiness level to 50, summoning krampis.

 

What Does the Harpsichord do?

You can play it, it works like a stationary one man band, but for every second you play it, you gain naughtiness.

Wickerbottom gains -50 sainity a minute when near a harpsichord, and will refuse to craft one.

Harpsichords actually were made of cats. I learned it in music class, they are used to make the strings.

To my knowledge harpsichord strings were made of brass and/or materials of similar quality. Animal intestines were used to make the strings of instruments like violin, however sheep were the preferred animal.

However I can confirm there indeed was a "comedic" keyboard instrument that utilized live cats and the sound they make when their tails were struck by a hammer.

If I remember correctly, the idea was ditched during the prototype stage not because of its obviously brutal concept, but rather because it was hard to maintain (meaning its impractical to feed some cats trapped in a box).

I'm somewhat confused by this in all honesty. Why does this raise naughtiness so much? Why do we need a way to raise naughtiness so consistently? Why does Wickerbottom specifically have such a massive aversion to it?

You are turning animals into an instrument for pleasure, which is naughty. Wickerbottom likes cats, and had one herself.

It does make sense if you look into it but even if it didn't I just want some more interesting and wacky items that dragged me into this game all those years ago instead of more boss drops, boss locked content every single arc.

How come this was moved to suggestions and feedback? It was just a fun concept i came up with and not something i made requesting to be added to the game. It seemed kinda random for this post specifically

Maybe. because there are so many more things in general discussion that would be much more warrant to being moved here, or maybe some moderator just felt like doing it.

At the same time moving it here wouldn't really do anything, i am clueless.

I don't see the problem here but you might wanna try looking up Katzenorgel or Katzenklavier because that's presumably what my professors would have called it.

Ah, found it. It's a hypothetical instrument that makes the cats meow based on which key is pressed. The cats would apparently be arranged based on the pitch of their meows:

From what I've read it was a silly concept for treating poor attention spans.
