Any chance the final version of the shadow affinity drops today, or is it staying in beta?

the devs said that they want to make some adjustments, so probably we gonna have this and another week of shadow beta and then it is going live

i am eagerly waiting for the shadow affinity since the lunar affinity let me down

still shocked there isn't a shadow affinity update yet. Maybe they're really cooking with this one?

Yea, I was wondering why no update on it for a while.
But I hope that they also are fixing some of the problems for other skills than the shadow affinity, or at least making the shadow affinity more impactful and more creative.

Aside from the shadow affinity, they're also likely refining the lunar affinity further; the features they confirmed they are doing are:

- Having a possessed chassis repair their own equipment

- Having access to a possessed chassis's inventory

- Having a possessed chassis utilize zaptrocuters

All of these could be fairly tech-heavy, hence why it's taking longer.

However, I do hope it also means that the shadow affinity isn't just receiving a thematic rework and a pure horror inclusion like they said. I also hope they're considering tweaking some of the circuits a bit more; my fingers are crossed for the Beanbooster circuit specifically, with the Super Hardy circuit being a close second.

my biggest hope is to klei change the dr to healing increase, it's not only more health for the game but they can also have more wild numbers without being too strong, also would be alot more easy to balance

Did they confirmed this?

If yes, I hope that they will use it without you, like a support clone.

Just now, doritosdamafia said:

there's a topic were a person asked for that option and a dev said that they are trying that

They are already really good. Beanbooster is autoinclude.

Sure but both of their alpha tinkering bonus’s are plain useless

and the difference between super hardy circuits and regular hardy circuits is barely a factor given that 2 regular hardy gives 80 health and 1 super hardy gives 100, 20 hp really isn’t worth anything

Bet you barely do bosses fight.

Saying negating sanity aura to half, 10% armor, health+sanity regeneration,60 health shield is useless is kinda insane ngl.

Reducing sanity aura to half is crazy in fuelweaver boss fight. I barely need to bring sanity food last run while doing FW, that's a total 16min save compare to heading into desert and grab those cactus

Anyway I'm not here to argue but to ask.

When shadow affinity???

one thing i would wanna know, is it a bug or feature that you get insane faster with it (when using insanity inducing tools)

Seems like bugs, but only devs can define that. They work like that right now is because no matter the clothes gives positive or negative sanity, they both use the same tag in code

But I think they can deal with it easily by coding something like

if clothSanity> 0, clothSanity= clothSanity*(1+dappernessBuff)

else, clothSanity=clothSanity*(1-dappernessBuff)

I have a feeling they're completely reworking the shadow side as well cause tbh it makes sense, against the lunar side why would anyone pick the shadow one ever? I wanna see where this goes

The shadow side is more cheap, donqt make you stop using half of the chassis perks and is alot more easy to use, although i would like if Klei are really putting more work on shadow

Idk I want at least one person's shadow side perk to be better than the lunar one. Maxwell and wormwood cant count cause they're completely one sided

The problem is that lunar have a huge net positive in the early game of more damage to shadows, making more easy to deal with ruins and such
