Tortoise Guy Posted July 28, 2023 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Most of us can agree that Willow is a rather uninteresting character as she currently is, I really don't think this is a controversial statement. Still, with the addition of skill trees, I see an opportunity to revise Willow and make her an actual interesting character! So let's get straight to the point. Firefighter branch: F1: Mobs that die due to fire near Willow will no longer have their drops turn to ash F2: Mobs set on fire by Willow will take more fire damage and won't spread fires (12 fire damage per second) F3:Willow will now gain a 15% speed boost when near a fire (doesn't stack with multiple fires) F4:Willow will now leave a trail of fire while walking with a speed boost of 30% or more (non-flying mobs that stand on the trail will take fire damage and eventually be ignited) F5:Fire staves will now use 4% durability per hit instead of 5% (fire staves now have 25 uses instead of 20) F6:When Willow wears scalemail, it will regenerate durability based on how many fires are around it (regens 1% every 11 seconds when near 1 fire and stacks with up to 3 fires) F7:When Willow hits an ignited mob, she will extend their burn duration by a little bit (for every hit, 0.2 seconds will be added to the enemy's burn timer) F8:When Willow hits an ignited mob, it will be slowed down by 15% for 1 second Bernie branch: B1:Bernie will regenerate more sanity while being held (regen goes from 2/min to 5/min) B2:BERNIE! will deal slightly more damage depending on Willow's sanity (0 bonus damage at 15% sanity and 15 bonus damage at 0% sanity for example) B3:Shadow creatures killed by BERNIE! will now have normal droprates B4:BERNIE! now deals bonus planar damage (He now deals 40 normal damage and 30 planar damage) B5:Bernie will now provide more insulation when held (insulation goes from 60 to 80) B6:BERNIE! now deals bonus damage to ignited mobs, but also extinguishes them (deals 34 bonus damage to ignited mobs) B7:Bernie will now transform much earlier (Increases the transformation threshold from 15% sanity to 25%) Lighter branch: I accidentally submitted before finishing and there's no way to delete or edit the topic, which is pretty stupid, so I'll continue here: Lighter branch: Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149954-willow-skill-tree-ideas/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

After hundreds of hours in the game I think I have seen it in action only once. Tortoise Guy Posted July 28, 2023 Author Share Posted July 28, 2023 L1:Food cooked with the lighter will now have more of its freshness restored L2:Lighter now has a slightly bigger radius L3:Willow can now right-click items in her inventory with the lighter to instantly drop and ignite them L4:Hitting mobs with Willow's lighter will set them on fire more easily L5:Willow's lighter can be used to instantly heat up thermal stones in her inventory at the cost of durability Affinities Lunar Affinity: The Cryptic Founder will reward your curiosity by charging your lighter with lunar energy (Any mob set on fire by Willow's lighter will begin to be orbited by 3 gestalts, once the fire goes out, they attack the mob, dealing 42.5 damage each) Shadow Affinity: The Shadow Queen will reward your loyalty by empowering your old friend (Bernie now gets a 20% damage resistance to shadow creature damage, gains some planar defense and has a chance to spawn 1-2 shadow tentacles on each attack) Some of these are admittedly just filler, so I'd be happy to hear everyone else's ideas too!
