Void Cowl should have full set bonus

Recommended Posts

Currently the Void Cowl gives Shadow Reaper +4 planar damage per hit, while +10% generic damage and +5 planar damage can't be obtained unless paired with Void Robe. On the other side, Brightshade Helmet grants full set bonus to Brightshade melee weapons and Brightshade Staff.

This results that with the headgear and weapon, Shadow Reaper will deal 56~80 damage and Brightshade Sword will deal 76.8. The expected damage for Brightshade Sword is obviously higher than its shadow aligned cousin. So I wish that the Void Cowl could grant full set bonus to Shadow Reaper to make the current 2 sets of equipment balanced.

Yeah, the void robe is extremely unbalanced if we are comparing it to the brightshade armour. Full sainity drain stop and extra damage vs doing 20 recoil damage. I think the damage should be moved to the cowl.

Only 10 actually. To shadow aligned creatures this recoil damage is increased to 20.

I'm not sure if I'm getting it right or if the code fits the design...

However, Brightshade Helmet buff seems only apply on Brightshade weapons, while the Void Cowl buff is apply on all shadow items with planar damage. As soon as we get more shadow planar weapons, the Void Cowl will get better.

Imagine Wanda get a planar damage skill for Alarming Clock...

The brightshade helmet provides a damage boost, acts as goggles, and protects from Charlie, meanwhile the void cowl only grants a damage boost. I don't mind if the void cowl only has a damage boost but I wish that the tuning for it was buffed so at least it stood out in that department.

Outside of the void cowl being weak I really enjoy the planar gear rebalance they did, but I can't help but feel like the lunar side has so much more gear in comparison to the shadow side and the shadow side needs a bit more love.
