Question regarding the optimal strategy for the Twins of Terror fight

Recommended Posts

I have always used the strategy where you split them up and fight them one by one but another strategy recently came to my attention where you just spam pan flutes and kill them that way. While the second strategy is definitely more expensive, the first strategy takes a lot of time and you're using pan flutes anyway for the Bee Queen fight. Which one is better (for a character with default damage multiplier, more specifically triple Super-Acceleration Circuit WX-78)?

(sorry for making 2 posts in such a short timespan)

You've explained the pros and cons of each strategy. Neither is better.

One strategies pros might outweigh the others pros, I'm not sure which one though because I'm not as experienced as a lot of people and would like some input.

A mix of both. I use the first strategy but I also use pan flutes to take care of the minions if they start to overwhelm me.

Using gunpowder to severely weaken one/two is a valid option, especially if you can blow both of them at the same time.

the first strategy is kinda objectively more resource efficient assuming you can dodge good

That is true but resource efficiency isn't the only thing you are looking for, things need to be time efficient too.

I usually just disregard the minions and take care of them after the fact, since they waste time and time is valuable in this fight

I never really use gunpowder because it's prohibitively expensive (rotten eggs and nitre aren't something the average player will have an excess of) but if I'm low on pig skin, crowns and healing foods then I might consider using that to reduce the risk, thank you

Definitely split them up. If you're super speed WX then fighting the one shouldn't be a problem, as the only thing that makes it a problem is you need to wear a magi as any other character. I do know that they have different behavior, one charging and one spawning more but idk which is which. Split them up and you'd be fine :D.

(alternatively, you can wait for the longest night of winter and spawn them against an enraged Klaus. He'll take care of them for ya)

pan flute them, kill the blue/green twin in the first night, then throw the red one at Klaus a day later. since the latter one tends to charge back and forth, if you do it properly (baiting him in a way that doesn't hurt the deer), you'll have a very dead Klaus and a severely weakened twin by the end, just be sure to use the longest winter nights for this... and even if you mess up, the twin is still dead, you just need to use another antler to take care of evil santa.

Pro tip: play with friends. It's a multiplayer game, you do have friends to play with right?... Right?

The main strategy is use pan flute to put them in sleep, hit one of them and lure it away from the other, then kill it first. Ideally you'd go for spazmatism first because it dashes a lot when enraged.

I do but they don't play this game, thank you for the advice though

Another alternative I used to not accidentally fight both twins at the same time was to use a telelocator staff on retinazor so I don't run into it when fighting spazmatism.

It's too expensive for me to use at the stage of the game I normally fight them but I might consider doing this if I keep the world in the long term
