Does it actually increase your hunger if you turn into a wereform with 0 hunger?

probably, even if it doesnt kitschy idols give you hunger techniqually so it probably atleast gives you the hunger value of the idol.

So a trip to the swamp for monster meat, or turning into moose and mass murdering a bunch of spiders is enough for days of free transformation. I can just run around as a goose, turn to a beaver or moose from time to time, but otherwise not really care about my stats. Like at all. I can have completely empty inventory except for the idols lol. (Given that i have both Curse Embracer and the shadow affinity upgrade)

Yes, but not unreasonably so.

  • It costs 3 monster meat to make a kitschy idol. That is a hunger value of 56.25, AKA 6 minutes of hunger.
  • Wereforms without skills last up to 4 minutes without a full moon. that is effectively 37.5 hunger, which is a net loss of 18.75 hunger.
  • Wereforms with skills last up to 7.2 minutes (confirmation needed) without a full moon and reverts to 22.5 hunger on form change. That is effectively 90 hunger, which is a net gain of 33.75 hunger.

Compare this to a common meaty stew recipe: 2 meat, 1 monster meat, 1 berry. That is an input of 78.125 hunger and an output of 150 hunger for a net gain of 71.875 hunger.

Remember when characters were intresting not only by their perks, but also downsides? good times

I feel like downsides are only a thing when you are new to the game. Once you get the hang of it, every "downside" is just too easy to counter.

Honestly I love the changes to Woodie it really solves all his issues and even sneaks in some changes to mentioned in past threads like the moose and beaver not losing as much wereness if they are moving even if they're not performing their specific tasks.

Wormwood kinda feels weird to me don't get me wrong his post celestial champion tabs feels fitting mostly but his crafting skills pre champion are some really strange picks in my opinion.

Wolfgang's is fine.

I don't hate on all the changes. I actually like them too. I'm mostly dissapointed by the one specifically mentioned in the title (and the shadow affinity one is way too overpowered as well imo)

I mean I get it but the change does bring him more in line with the rest of the cast for better and worse.

Honestly I completely agree here as much as I love it shadows being friendly to his wereforms kinda outrageous.

IMO, losing 20 health and sanity were minor downsides of using the wereforms.  The real downsides of the forms is that they eliminated your ability to use items, healing foods, and left you vulnerable to damage (Goose/Beaver) or made you slower (Moose), and it cost resources (3 monster meat, grass/seeds/logs) in order to access them.  So the forms definitely still have enormous downsides, which is why everyone who plays Woodie knows that they need to be smart about picking which form to use depending on the situation, if the situation even calls for a wereform at all.
