For future reference you can tell the shadow level of an item by the quote Maxwell says upon equipping: Level 1 "What's this? My shadow puppets feel just a bit stronger..." Level 2 "I can feel the strength of my shadow puppets growing." Level 3 "Go, my shadow puppets! With this power, nothing will stand in our way."
