Copyafriend
For everyone who is like “when skilltree” skilltrees have never been confirmed nor do i think they will ever be implemented. adding a skilltree for every character would be like a brand new rework for every single character, and its a process that would take at minimum (lowballing here) an entire year for proper testing. to clarify, its a fun idea if implemented well, we all love our characters and some perk customization is nice. But its a pie in the sky idea, that would cost far more time than its worth, especially since reworks have been happening for years. i think the best we could hope for is one unique perk for each character per side (shadow and lunar perk) and that is already a bit much. realistically most characters will all share one fairly simple perk providing a damage boost and damage reduction against their “enemy” and some unique crafts only obtainable through allegiance. MadMatt
It'd suck if they made Lunar and Shadow alignment just the Wilson perk for everyone. Takes away from what little the Wilson rework gave him while also not adding much to everyone else. It's not like character balance is too serious a consideration considering the power difference between them already, having characters able to choose with unique perks depending on the alignment they choose is a totally fine idea so long as it doesn't break regular gameplay, which it shouldn't considering there are only two variables to consider and they can easily all be toned down to be as impactful (but unique) as the current Wilson alignment. Mike23Ua
I think if character skill trees are going to come, they’ll come in the form of a brand new game. If Klei put ALL their ideas into DST… no one would buy a DS 2. And I don’t know about you guys, but I’d like some bold new ideas (like more wacky new playable characters or new skill trees) saved for a DS 2. If you’re going to make a new game, make it have something new I’ll actually ENJOY buying it for.

I agree, no more reworks please! We need new content more than changes.
