Jakepeng99
They don't make the game harder, they just make it worse. They destroy your bases, they destroy wild bunny hutches, they are messy. Only way i believe they can be fixed without removing them is making them not destroy structures, and dissapear after an amount of time. This ruins long term worlds with cave bases, and ruins all future ones. Remove it or rework it. How about instead of boulders, they drop one or two shadlings instead that despawn after some time? I would also make the bomb they spawn not destroy walls if that is so. Just a replacment idea i had, since this actually makes it harder, and has some use along with it. + to add on there is 0 counters to boulder earthquakes and more spawn with more people which can demolish public server cave base mega bases. Pticman
I like the idea of dropping shadlings from earthquakes, however it should be connected to some sort of shadlings infestation of the underground world. If they would spawn in small groups corrupting or attacking the underground flora and fauna their appearance from earthquakes would make more sense. By shadlings I mean parasites attacking daywalker, the new fuzzed shadlings or how they called would be to toxic to drop from earthquakes.
Zeklo
Stuff coming from the ceiling kinda has me like... ??? The rift, fissures, etc. all come from "deep below." So the existence of acid rain and stuff kinda confuses me. Feels like we should have temporary fissures open up out of the ground more than anything. I mean even tho I don't like the addition of boulders, they kinda make sense, because the ground is bursting from the below pressure, rifts tear the underground world, that is why earthquakes become stronger. Could be implemented in the better way for sure. What about acid rains, it is connected to decay that shadow rifts bring, corrupting the world. The new fog around the rifts is very toxic, so probably it poison the air, rising with time to the roof of the caves and then falling out in the form of toxic rains.
