account deletion

hi a very strange thing happened once I deleted my account on the klei site. I went back into the game and the login wouldn't let me do it. the message "Your account has been marked for deletion and cannot be used anymore." appears. how do i play now?

Wow, I didnt even know I could delete my account.

Well, I hope you can solve your problem, if you cant reach someone from klei from the forums, try via email or steam idk.

That's interesting.

When i first got DST i didn't have Klei account (I technically still don't i got lazy and just linked my Steam acc instead)

And the game despite not having Klei acc or Linked Steam at that time would still let me auto login to DST even recieved drops too.

 

You are playing Steam version of DST or on some other platform?

exactly they should be two totally separate things but obviously it's not like that now I hope they haven't canceled my account forever I could get bored. I use the steam version

Klei Accounts should not be deleted if you want to continue playing the game. There are several reasons for this, but the Klei Account is based on the account used to play the game and if you delete the Klei Account, the Steam, PlayStation or Xbox account will not be able to access our account system until that has been processed (which will be at least 3 days). 

You can contact support at support.klei.com and see if there is still time to salvage the account but no guarantees. Make sure you provide as much information about the account as possible including the email address and Steam or Console account name.
