I just want opinions on this character, they're meant to be more of a ocean based character (obviously the oceans are pretty uhh not thatt great in DST so an ocean based character rn would kinda be lame but.. I just had this great idea and needed to do it)

They're just a little sailor boy borrowing design aspects from cabbits and kind of how Pearl is. Their voice is totally an accordion 

I don't really 100% have custom abilities thought up for them so if you have any cool ideas feel free to say them!

Art for Willie looks like its straight out of the game! Very nice! Heres my perk ideas for him!

Willie should only be able to eat fish food, maybe gains 50% more hunger from fish kinda like wurt with veggies.

Is able to dive into the ocean to catch fish without a fishing rod, then remerge on the nearest land or boat with his fishy. However fishing without a rod might sometimes anger squids causing them to spawn and attack him for stealing their food!

Unarmed pincer punch attack does 50 damage, has same attack speed as normal fist punches.

Willie can bury into the ground to instantly lose aggro from any mobs eg hounds/spiders/pigs/clockwork even some bosses except for shadow creatures, costing 20 hunger for the first time however if spammed too much in a short period of time the hunger cost increases to 25, 35, 50 then 75.

Seasonal perks would be immune to wetness effects both freezing and sanity drain from wet clothes, but freezes/overheats slighty faster in both winter/summer.

Stats:

  • Health: 90
  • Sanity: 120
  • Hunger: 300
  • Permanent 25% speed boost, if wearing a backpack or body armor Willie gets a -10% speed penality instead, clothing items however allow Willie to retain the speed boost.

Willie has a big appetite for fish so his hunger meter is insanely high, as a crabbit with low health and sanity Willie must rely on staying light and agile to quickly get away and hide from predators looking to eat him!

Willie should have an over-excited personality around fish and the ocean, but extremely anxious around dangerous mobs.

Really like this character idea again i must say especially the artwork,  its top notch!

If you've seen Pearl's concept art, there's a ton of pirate designs before we got the version of her they settled for. IF the design was tweaked with the pirate aesthetic from the Pearl concept art and borrowed a bit from the monkey update, we might have something really interesting. Especially if there was a lore connection to the rocklobsters.

Sadly I was avoiding the pirate type design due to the fact that we already have characters like Woodlegs and wanted to try to do a different type of thing from them rather than making a character that kind of steals that concept :wilson_resigned: The Pearl design aspect was mostly borrowing how she is a humanoid crab (though unlike Willie she is a hermit crab which is why Willie looks so different compared to her)
