Getting back with information on this mod: I had a least one puft on the low calorie range: 500-ish or so. Pufts seem to up their intake to reach the 900 calorie range and stabilize there, so the one I took a screenshot prior to the mod seems normalized. Hungry pufts below the 1080 range stay hungry and will consume as often as before, but the calorie count no longer gradually dips. It appears starvation will no longer be an issue with this. Newer pufts don't seem to lose the 1080 calorie range where they become satisfied. Culling this generation hungry pufts can be an option, but it's not much of a nuisance anyway. So far so good.
