Decorations, Shrines and Base Designs

Here's a follow-up to my yesterday's post. 

Lunar Island Part II: Celestial Champion arena
Deeper into the Lunar Island, connected by a road to my Lunar Farms, I have my CC setup in the former Lunar Rockylands area:

The arena itself was only decorated recently with the help of @raniskog. We spent a lot of time as Wormwood/Wicker farming pomegranates and butterflies.

The main lunar fissure triangle with altars. I always leave the Celestial Tribute not socketed after I'm done with CC farming:

Some close-ups of the garden around it. All of the decorations are outside of meteor landing range and therefore safe.

Here's the garden at night. As usual, not enough fireflies to my taste so I'll definitely add more in the future! I'm tempted to place some moon dials as well, but the more I add to my world, the more moon glass clutter I get after CC farming. 

This area used to be my CC fight prep area when I fought it as Wanda. Now it has awkwardly placed Winona telepad nearby and some chests with gear that I no longer use. Probably a subject to a future rework now that I look at it again.

And now to the main build that allowed me to decorate CC arena and not worry about decorations being destroyed: the fight now happens in this contraption here. I like decorating docks and I was sad about how plain this area used to be, so I brightened it up a bit:

And at night. Even though it didn't need to be lit up during infinite full moons, having light during the following new moon's darkness after CC kill is helpful:

Some close-ups. My catapult setup: CC is dragged from the triangle in a straight line into the area where we're standing, and then I telepoof to where the remotes are.

This build can also be entered through the gates, or via boat hop (more convenient if you're on a beefalo). I added a little water lily pond near my lunar wobster mounds:

Little CC shrines in the corners. Those lune blossom trees was planted legit via a trick I learned from one of @DVGMedia's videos: dropping a homeless bee that pollinated more than 6 different flowers will make it plant a flower on any artificial turf, even on the docks! It took some trial and error since they don't seem to plant if there are structures nearby, but eventually it worked after I cleared the space. After the flowers are set up I turned them into trees with lunar essence potions.

Silly gingerbread pig made a village in the corner on top of my decor. I decided to keep one house:

Here's the main CC prep area/material storage on the "left" side (if I face CC arena). I farm 8-10 CCs in a row with this setup and do a little cleanup after each fight to reduce lag:

In the "right" wing I have some non-essential (but potentially useful) stuff just to make it symmetrical. The row of mourning glories as water lilies is my fave part of the build!

I added some moonstone decorations to make the scene look more like a shrine(maybe).

I've seen a lot of players like to use statues or endtables to surround the moonstone as a way to limit the werepigs and hounds;I personally prefer the "shrine surrounded by forest" style.

I first planted the flowers in the form of hexagons,used lunaressences to transform the flowers into lunetrees and fixed them with embalmingspritz,then carry some boulders from the cave,randomly cut down a few trees and place the boulders,so that the main content is completed.

The location of the "six corners" is not planted,so that easy access;tall lunetrees,normal lunetrees,boulders enhance the layering,so that it looks more realistic.

This is what a fullmoon looks like.

Some of the other proposals that failed.

I've been reading Agatha's novel recently(cards on the table and the abc murders,they're all so wonderful!!!),so the moonstone decorations has been put on hold for a while.Sorry for replying to your message so late.

not late at all<3 besides i fell into the hole that is cotl again x''D been bleating my way through the main campaign again and it took me 6 days to get to the 4th bishop instead of 3 because i made so many mistakes on day two that day three and four were spent recovering and building structures

I simulated a lake in my own world.

I used rockybeachturf to simulate the"lake"and surrounded it with stonewalls,decorated with some boulders and plants.

This is wonderful, I'm so happy to see people experimenting with the snowmen like this. There's a lot of potential for interesting decor with just how high the level of customization is!

ok i have to admit that i spawn that fish bin there. cus icker preserve and tin bin have ridiculously big area to be placed (Klei pls have some adjustment, i beg u. while u at it can u remove action with spacebar around the icker jar i keep picking up the fish)

but having icker jar with ice bream making temperature quite balanced all year around. so no more pain of overheating while sailing with boat that have furnance in it.

i think i didnt deliver what i mean.
in my first thought after seeing the drop being leaked i tho it will look good if the spikes up. not being reset. 
but i think they look better after they get fixed

To be honest both versions look good! Why not mix the two? Some activated and some not. I plan to do that on my garden!

Real rush cus I'm late for something.
11k days woosh, time flew holy!
I was in a rush, it’s summer, in the middle of building something, it’s bare but it’s there. I’ll get around decorating this area a little better.

Nighttime. It’s too freaking bright! Placed 3 fireflies on each spot but I’ll reduce it to 2. Spread some more fireflies all around to make some details pop later.

Done with my Beefalo “Barns”.
They procreate too damn much! I thought I had some control over it but it got crazy, some of them try to merge with other herds and they keep hugging the fences which I don’t like…
At one point I got 3 herds, one right next to the other but I killed all of them because each herd had 12-13 beefalos, so I'm starting over and plan to have a butcher nearby to deal with the overpopulation.

They have their own trough for fodder and water lol. 

Here’s where my winbots passively collect random resources, mostly for manure to be honest.

And the bells for every single beefalo in case I wanted to move some of them, crazy I know…

Wickerbottom's library

There is an empty lot near my zoo.I was going to use plant guy to build crop circles,but I built this library anyway.

I poored my heart into a lil merm base. I tried to fill a whole biome and make it as detailed as possible.I gave the Merm king a throne room, added lots of gurd posts and decorational pillars, and gave them their own farm and kitchen, complete with chairs and tables to dine at. I hope you like it.
