I mean, just tell them the recipe. Communicate. You don't need a new mechanic for that.

Counterpoint: I don't want to become the local encylopedia of crockpottery that needs to respond to any question at any time in 0.1 milisecond else someone stuffs the whole fridge into their stomach.

Expanding on this, it be nice to lay these about by your kitchen for new players to read and follow! Though that would make quite a mess, maybe also be able to add them to cookbook when read?

Filling other people's cookbooks sounds nice. What I'd personally like more is an inbuilt input-to-output comparer in the cookbook that can help people realize that they're getting nothing out of meatballs made from 1 meat and 3 carrots. Don't want people to make meatballs out of pumpkins or corn.

Another counter point: It spams the chat pretty hard. Trying to explain what you have to and can't include in a recipe, describing more recipes etc..

You can fill a crock pot and say to them: "look inside - this is how you make such and such."

For some reason only a small share of the recipes have a card, and the ingredients of the description are defined within the recipes (so always the same one), which are for a bunch of them not really recommendable to follow. Just letting know about this, but even without those issues and outside of the multiplayer where you might be requested to give a cooking tip now and then (and then they'll have this registered forever), I think the cookbook does that job in a much more reliable and organised way.
So yeah cute idea but I think this would never be useful realistically :( they're meant to be a hint for whoever haven't looked up the wiki, quite respectable to help in this way.
