I can't place items such as a campfire, fire pit, science machine, etc. I'm hosting a modded server (and have client-side mods, too), and I've tried disabling almost all of them. I've also unsubbed/resubbed to them on Steam (where I get my mods) to force updates or fix corruptions. I asked about this in Steam today, and a guy replied with the useful info that there have been many updates lately that may have broken mods, and lots of people are facing this problem. I'd like to get this straightened out, as this is my wife's fav game, and she's been on me for MONTHS to get this going again. What can I do? I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance. Two days ago (admittedly playing on a Windows 7 computer, opposed to the one I typically play on) the game started inverted the right and left mouse buttons when I load a world. I have to go to the settings and change the settings. It is super weird, and I have not changed anything on this machine recently. Prior to realizing what was going on I could not pick up items from the ground, since the left mouse button was acting like the right one. Very, very, very strange. Perhaps you can check your control settings as well. Do you even see the preview? Can you interact with other stuff normally? First thing that came to mind is that controls swap sometimes, especially when tabbing out to another window- the fix is to press alt in game. Create a new world with no mods and check there, if you haven't yet. If it persists, post a bug in the bug tracker. My character makes no motion to walk in that direction to craft the item. I've figured out it's a mod conflict. It's either "<default's> Festive Pack" or "<default's> item pack", or "Furniture Megapack" by "Neckpunch!". I haven't narrowed it down yet, I JUST figured it out. Torpzun Posted August 30, 2022 Share Posted August 30, 2022 I think I have this issue as well. For me though, it's because my mouse likes to double-click in the heat. I can get around this by using spacebar to put those items down. Maybe that might work for you too?
