QOL: Building on top of a wild plant should queue the plant to be dug and then the building to be built

Recommended Posts

This is very tiresome overtime. Wild plants are everywhere, and when building, for example tiles, they block the build. You must find the plant. Dig it. Wait for it to be dug. And only then can you queue the construction. Would be nice if this was all skipped. Currently you can build on wild stuff like dirt and your duplicates will automatically know to dig the dirt then do the construction. So why not for wild plants.

There was a mod for that, "Build over Plants" by Cairath IIRC. Feel free to check it out.

Iirc the mod allows you to build without removing the plant (or at lest that`s how it sounds). Making dupes auto remove plants when ordering a construction (and allowing to construction orders over plants) would be a nice touch.

the mod only schedules uproot and it was like it since the beginning. if you cancel the uproot command you can built over plants. the author is not fixing it.

we simply need this functionality natively together with the robust building replacement system in general. current state of building replacements which is for some reason _only_ implemented for tiles (and half way) is very poor and makes the game less enjoyable since you need to rebuilt a lot in this game.
