Because of this it seems kind of inappropriate to me for it to be just a Bookcase tier craft considering how the bookcase gives knowledge equivalent to an alchemy engine and altering the phase of the moon seems waaaay more advanced than that. and also especially because the Celestial Tab exists!!! feels like a pity not to use it. Because of how strong the book is, the need to sail to lunar island and assemble the altar there in order to craft it would also be appropriate. I also think a bunch of moon glass could be added to the recipe since its such an under utilized material and piles up a lot. This would also connect the book to the grotto and the lunar island again instead of only needing meteors on the surface for the moon rock to craft it. I'd add more moon glass recipes in general, because for some reason you get several stacks from CC and you can do nothing with them except crafting a ton of axes for toadstool (you'll probably used Bearger at least once prior this moment), or a big pile of glass cutters to use instead of dark sword, or a mountain of moon turf or moon glass statues (which can't even summon shadow chess :/). Mike23Ua Posted July 15, 2022 Share Posted July 15, 2022 I am pretty sure (or at least I hope so..) that the books are easy to craft because the rework is in BETA stages and they want people to be able to craft them faster and provide feedback, sadly I can not participate in the games Beta stages but.. a book that gives you the powers to summon full moons should require: Moon Rock, Lunar Moth & Moonglass in its crafting which effectively makes the Wicker player have to leave base and explore the games biomes and gather resources.. You know like Wendy needing to help Pipspook for Mourning Glory, or WX78 needing to effectively play Pokémon Snap to get the scanalyizer Data needed for Circuits. Klei added all these amazing sounding books- but they need to make Wicker put in some actual effort in acquiring them. I realize now in my excitement i forgot to examine all the books . She says “Investigating the ancient archives proved to be quite educational”. Tbh i dont like this quote because u can craft it without actually having to “investigate the ancient archives” lol or before u even set foot inside the biome or know what it is if ur a new player.. you are correct, a distilled knowledge source for the book would be more appropriate if this is the quote. But i imagine that would be trickier to implement than slapping it on the celestial tab… perhaps if specifically wicker interacts with any of the knowledge fountain’s she’ll first get the egg for the grimoire..?
