Idea to replace gold to iron!

Why not to replace gold to iron? Add iron ore boulders with iron ore, furnaces to smelt iron ore (2 iron ore for 1 ingot) , iron tools, armour, helmet,weapons, structures, (also for example add defence structure- wooden crossbow tower for base defences (ballanced) with 3 upgrading systems - dmg, tower structure, ammo box with arrows to increase turrets max ammo capacity( with turrets its just an additional idea )  Woul be cool to see Iron in constant instead of gold wich is used only in ellectronics, wires, an juwelry in reality (write in commentcs where i made mistake , what do you think about an idea and etc

P.S add option where boulders wouldnt dissapear after break (boulders would require 1 flint pickaxe to break and 4-6 boulders to gold pickaxe) the boulders would regrow for example twise long in time than trees for example)

It seems like an unnecessary change, the process to obtain iron a bit redundant, theres already a variety of weapons and armor to use (and ranged weapons in the game are not really good). About defenses, there are the Tooth and Bramble Traps, and for something like a turret, the Houndius Shootious exits.

Also it just sounds more like you want to play Minecraft.

Cause gold looks bit stupid than normall logic an beautifull iron

It's not that it's something unwanted, it's than is not needed. What benefit comes from using Iron instead of Gold if it's use would be the same as Gold?

I think a new material could be interesting and could open new recipes but who knows how much attention it will recieve, Moon Shards were introduced back in 2019 and only have 5 recipes as of today.

The option for Boulders to regrow instead of break makes less sense than changing gold out for iron, if realism is your objective for this suggestion. So no, seems unnecessary. 

Having turrets like crossbow balista type structures seems unnecessary and story lore breaking. We have our magic Houndious Shootious, and Winona has her catapults.

I say this desperately wanting more armor and weapons, this is NOT the way to go about it. A new helmet to bridge the gap between Football Helms and Thulecite crowns is very needed, that isn't locked behind a single character (Wigfrid). The melee weapon selection and chest armor selection are pretty decent as it stands. A moderate range weapon would be a welcome addition, but would feel like a big slap to our boy Walter if he doesn't get any changes alongside that.
