Gotheran
Woah, been a hot minute since I've been on these forums. Anyway, can't really play myself but been watching some YT'ers play as well as hanging out in an ONI-centric discord server kicking around ideas for the game thought I'd post a pretty recent set of ideas here revolving around some probably silly slime changes and new critter morphs. Possible mod/Update: Slimy Living New Plugslug morph: SlimeSocket Eats power instead of producing it, excretes slime with no germs Morbs made into full critters: Consume slime, excretes much lower mass of slime or algae and a larger quantity of germy pO2 New Morb Morph: Pine Morb, consumes lumber excretes ethanol and clean, floral scented O2 New Poke shell morph: Rock Clawber Consumes Lime, Fossil, crushed rock, sedimentary rock, or egg shells, sheds Granite, same behaviour but a 2x1 shape instead of a 1x2 New State change for slime: flubber Liquid Slime, acts as a poor mans viscogel, thin temperature range (~45-80c) and hotter than comfortable for dupes, boils into pwater, off gasses po2, and cools into solid slime. Special dupe debuff "slimy toes" and "totally slimed" similar to soggy feet but with an added athletics penalty, only applicable to dupes not in an atmo/leadsuit. New Geyser: Slime vent puts out slimelung infected liquid slime. New plant: Kepler Hair: very tall waterborne kelp plant that grows akin to arbor trees but produces algae and can be live eaten by pacu, consumes liquid slime, must be in PWater, Water, Brine, or Salt water, possibly no mutations because its submerged, or could be irradiated from below the tank? New Plant Mutation: Slimy, slower growth speed, increased fertilizer consumption, requires darkness, produces large quantity of slime on harvest, produces slimelung germs when harvest ready (overrides bristle berries floral scents). Special bonus for Dusk Caps having a small net positive of slime when fed with its own slime harvests. Say 10kg profit for every 100kg spent. New Asteroid type: Organic Mass: -primary biome consists of slime, algae, pwater, wild morbs and slimesockets, duskcaps, sand, sedimentary rock, a metal ore possibly cobalt or gold amalgam, sage hatches occur buried, swamp chard hart as local non-renewable food, decorative plant is buddy buds, -secondary biomes include forest, marsh and wasteland. -Common geysers are: Slime vent, cool slush geyser, sulfur geyser, hot po2, nat gas, and co2 geyser Pending ideas that aren't fully thought out yet New "plant" of Coral, a plant alternative to pokeshells producing lime but eating slime and requiring strong light levels as well as being submerged in at least 1 layer of water. Wild growth requires no light. Grows better wild? Only grows in salt or clean water. A possible Nat Gas producing Morb morph More Liquid Slime consuming plants? Pacu Morph that lives in liquid slime? New Divergent Morph(s): Sweeple and FuzzGrub. Sweeples have a hairy underbelly that automatically sweeps up small spills into bottles. Fuzzgrubs are much furrier and also sweep up liquid spills, but in addition they generate a small charge as they walk, they can then rub batteries or nap to release the charge onto a power wire like a Plugslug, bonus charge build up if left on carpet. Gotheran
threw in a new plant mutation concept. Hmm, suppose this should have been posted in the Spaced out sub board instead, whoops...
