Cloakingsumo198
Small max sanity leads to being insane more often but also allows a faster recovery since nightmare creatures kills provide more "value". Willow, Webber, Wx-78, Wortox, Wurt (Wigfrid lol), and Wes will pass the threshold needed to leave insanity easier while wicker bottom will have a harder time with using shadow creatures alone. Spoiler I kinda wish Maxwell's fragmented mind worked like this because instead he gets black bars on his sanity meter which can help with causing permanent insanity but also give the ugly colors and sound as well. The game acts as though his max sanity is still 200 so the threshold for sane and insane doesn't change. All characters with 200 max sanity will get attacked at 30 sanity and will need to go above 35 to leave it. Webber goes insane at 15 sanity and goes sane around 17-18 sanity. Willow and wigrid go insane at 18 sanity and recover at 21. Wx-78 and Wurt without enhancements reach insanity around 22-23 sanity and recover at 26 sanity. Wes at 11 sanity is insane and recovers at 13 sanity. Wickerbottom reaches insanity around 37-38 sanity and has to reach 43-44 sanity to recover. Bigger brains may last longer when full but in the heat of calamity while you struggle to survive the small and smooth will flourish and thrive... BonesJrOfficial
Another thing with wigfrid is she gains sanity during her fights. Killing one shadow keeps her sane as good while. If you can manage to lower 2 or 3 to 1 hit to kill and finish them off quickly in succession it's actually super incredible how long she will remain sane afterwards. I find myself using darkswords and night armor, next to a wormhole, just to remain insane to farm fuel. Honestly this was perfect balance between big and small brains but then the Celestial crown nation attacked...
