Spawn protection should protect from wetness

the current wetness mechanics will be brutal and feel like BS for new players

right now people reported that it is 9 damage every 4 seconds, from 20 wetness onwards to 100 wetness

it's like a kill switch, I don't think that should be the case. it should scale linearly

 

an example of a more forgiving scaling:

20 wetness 2 damage every 4 seconds

40 wetness 4 damage every 4 seconds

60 wetness 6 damage every 4 seconds

80 wetness 8 damage every 4 seconds

100 wetness 10 damage every 4 seconds

True but I think it should be double those values

reminder: pre-rework WX rain damage was a joke

I really like your idea, and I agree that the old rain damage was rather underwhelming, but something interesting to note is that the way waterproofness affected it actually worked slightly differently than the wiki describes:

Assuming waterproofness was below 100%, it had no effect on the amount of damage per spark. Instead, it increased the time between sparks by 0.7 seconds per 10% waterproofness. So with an umbrella, you'd still take 0.5 damage per spark, but it would only happen every 9.3 to 11.3 seconds.

The wiki only mentions how it works in RoG, and also doesn't mention that there's a minimum of 0.1 damage, so having 90% waterproofness won't reduce it to 0.05.
