Noreaster Posted April 20, 2022 Share Posted April 20, 2022 Recently moved, so i haven't had time to play a lot of games for a while. Excited to see and play with all the new stuff the game has to offer now. I didn't want to test old game files, so i deleted all but 1 world and started from scratch. None of the games I've started got passed early spring before it hits a "place" that crashes the world, and closes the game entirely. I was able to roll the game back, but the bug would reappear. I've since run several "Local File Integrity" checks, and reinstalled the game. Now i cant even start a new map (yes, all mods are deactivated) and still get "Dedicated Server Failed to Start There was some trouble starting the server. Please try again. Several days later, and a new Shipwrecked start later, still getting the same error. I'm not getting firewall or other notices from windows, and my AVG has all of the permissions. Please help. Still no mods, just trying to get the game running. Didn't work, so turned off the mods to try again, and got an error message that there is a conflict with the existing mods for the save....but i'm creating a new world. I'll give it a shot. Have a newish system: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K, 32.0 GB RAM, ... Now cant start a world with caves. Gives an error before the character selection screen that says "something went wrong". I've been able to start 2 worlds today with out caves, but when added it fails to generate map. Also seem to get weird error when i remember to turn the mods off, Gives the warning screen that the disabled mods may affect the save file that hasn't been created. Try making a new world without any client or server side mods enabled, as I see that you have some server-side ones in your server_log. I don't know which mod it is that might be causing this issue. If the game does crash and close, get the client and server log immediately after the crash as it'll list the error (no error message in the provided logs cause nothing crashed). Haven't kept any of the other saves. I have saved 1 world from .... years ago.
