What do you like to do start a new world?

I'm the one who announces to everyone I'm going to ruins rush, but since I'm such a completionist at heart, I prepare till day 20 and then decide ruins suck in winter...

Explore the landmass. That's my favorite thing to do when starting new world i keep nomading around untill i explore most of the map and finally decide to properly base somewhere.

Depends on character really, what I prioritize.. always clear map first while gathering what i will need to get me through winter..which isn't much since I'm always nomadic first winter gathering the rest of my ****. Ill usually rush ruins first I've also recently taken a liking to beefs so I'll bring one along to tame. If I'm Wurt or Woody I'll possibly forgo the ruins in order to grab those sweet sweet stone fruit bushes and Bull Kelp to relocate.

Exploring the high seas is always nice if you can get a big tree of your own early on. Then you can just throw that bad boy near land so you can base somewhere that isnt oasis and have a really nice ambiance for spring and summer. Also Basing on a boat with the giant trees isnt a terrible way to go either, although webber is suggested for less problems with strider spiders. You get used to the aggravating inefficiency of a cookie on water too so that's a plus.

Sprting start for free speed, rush dragonfly do a small temb base near the desert, use the summer for ruins "rush"

I've spent many many in game seasons consecutively, setting up huge rows of trees to be stomped by deerclops and bearger..and you wanna what Fer? So I can make a ton of cobblestones.. tonnes and tonnes of cobblestones..and not for the speed..just to make my map look better...
