kbn
After playing with ONI for the first time in a while, I came up with a silly idea, so I'll share it here. To you who are tired of ordinary colony life. Why don't you make the wall of the liquid pool a waterfall? It has no practical benefits, but it looks weird and cool. Also, if the waterfall collapses due to some mistake, it will be a catastrophe, so you may always enjoy the thrilling and tense play. Please note some points. Vacuum between the waterfalls. If gas enters here, the waterfall will not function as a pool wall and will break. Any liquid can be used for the waterfall, but if it is the same liquid as the pool, it will break, so be sure to use a different liquid. Be careful not to break the waterfall due to temperature changes or power outages. Although the amount of water flowing into the waterfall is suppressed by the valve, I think it is better not to set it to a small value that is too close to the limit. If the amount is too small, the waterfall may break due to something like the game road. There may be other fatal flaws that I haven't noticed. Here is a video made by operating the duplicant without using the sandbox function. If you don't know how to make a waterfall, please refer to it. b.mp4 By the way, although it was successful in this video, it can fail if there are multiple gases when dismantling a block to create a waterfall. The ideal is to keep all the surroundings in a vacuum or work with only one gas. However, I think it's quite troublesome, so I think it's okay to use a brute force method of retrying the procedure until the waterfall is successfully created. You can probably see this thread for more details on the waterfall mechanism. babba
Beautiful. Just looking at your wonderful pictures and videos is so much better than spending hours on getting the StarCitizen Installer to work. biopon
Very nice! You can also stack gases to make walls, either to allow dupe access without getting sopping wet, or to negate pressure damage. (Sometimes too many airflow tiles or airlock doors are boring.) It's easier than it seems, just deconstruct some gas pipes with the right things in them.
