Radbolts from Nuclear Waste

Nuclear waste itself seems to be non-radioactive. So I guess it is the contaminants.

Nuclear waste is radioactive, just you need huge amounts of it... Possibly infinite storage to make it count for radbolt production. Not sure about contaminants. Never had solid amounts of them, but with the amounts I encountered it does not spread any radiation, it's more like germs, and I am not sure what it is purpose after all.

yes, for low amount Nuclear waste user may think that it not have radioactive, but game self just not show the 0.001 or whatever the number was when i tested

That would explain why I saw nothing. I only looked at small amounts from Radbolt collisions.

Nuclear contaminants are very radioactive, but they decay quickly.

I guess it is same like with nuclear waste, that you need high concentration of contaminants to have some radiation from them. And could be that contaminants not decay only on liquid nuclear waste?

So you need a lot of nuclear waste first and then make some contaminants in it, the more the better.

No, even in nuclear waste they have https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-life 1 cycle

So you would have harvest them immediately after launching/landing a rad-bolt rocket and store the bolts?

Hmm. Rad-bold generator made from Obsidian in the exhaust plume? Have to try that.

Way back during early access, when a bug caused pitcher pumps to double a volume of nuclear waste every cycle, I built this for generating radbolts (As I recall, I eventually got enough waste in there that it would produce radbolts faster than it was capable of firing them):
