Having it in an area often loaded and including in the pen something that scare them (chester, bunnymens and (the best imo) saladmanders can do the work (pigs too but is dangerous if the dont go inside home while full moon) The only bad things about this is that the grass tuft that became into gekkos are gone forever (unless your server is set to "endless") so you better protect these guys and that it might produce lag if isnt cleaned often Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135874-middle-skilled-guide/page/2/#findComment-1519336 Share on other sites

If you are outside things can catch of fire inside of the dessert so be careful when you enter or exit the oasis dessert, try to do it only at dusk or night since wildfires only happens during daytime Well my theory is that it burns because its on cobblestone my guide friend said that its prob bug rather than that, and he would know if there would be such a thing like path makes burn things but there is no sandstorms on summer anyways so its prob. not it here i send you some screenshots Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135874-middle-skilled-guide/page/2/#findComment-1519337 Share on other sites

Each step in the game is game changing, everytime you evolve as a player the gameplay experience change, the shorter you make each step the less fun the game will bring to you. For example, the game is so different when you start playing and you are afraid of everything than later when you know which things kill you and when so you arent afraid of leaving the base at night etc. Later you start learning some magic stuff, revive items appear so your worlds last longer and the stuff you do, also you start to get fancy weapons. The next step is mastering seasonal bosses, they arent a danger anymore so now with them tamed and the weather beaten you can make long journies to the caves and the sea getting new stuff. You reach the ruins, get few magic stuff that you save for "special moments" since you dont know if you will be able to farm more. You dominated the late game loot, that chest filled with gear for "special moments" is now your way to go, now you have always speed, light, extra damage, damage inmunity, teleportation whenever you want like a non hungry wortox.... not for nothing there is that many people with +1k hours and didnt mentioned world settings, character perks and downsides or challenges and rushes i know is frustrating when you dont have time but if you really like the game i recommend you to be patience and taste each minute and fail, failing and being afraid is one of the most fun things in this game and that one day ends to open the door to other kind of "sensations" . DST isnt the typical game, is like an onion of layers of knowledge, being dumb in this game is 1 time experience same goes for being middle age, experience until you reach being veteran when you have experience that much chaotic situations, the game sh*tting on you, dumb mistakes or stupid deaths that you end up learning This game can be summarized into "the letter with blood enters" ofc, there is many obscure things that you might end needing external help like summoning CC or FW but with 50h i was worried about feeding the little tallbird that days later would cause my death xD that is my honest recommendation, do what ever makes you happy playing the game Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135874-middle-skilled-guide/page/2/#findComment-1519338 Share on other sites
ILWES
4 hours ago, ShadowDuelist said: I’m assuming you play without world altering mods and on default settings. If your base burns in oasis and you play alone I’d say it was a fire hound that exploded near a structure or an item that spread the fire. Sandstorms won’t put out fires, they only prevent wildfires from starting out of nothing. Sometimes fire hounds spawn slightly off screen and may get distracted attacking other mobs or walls. EG: Maybe one spawned near your friendly pigs and pigs will most likely kill the hound and cause a fire. Sandstorms also happen only during summer, and if it’s summer and there is no sandstorm it’s most likely because it’s raining, or it rained very recently and the world has high wetness. Even though during rains or with high world wetness wildfires won’t happen, the previous comment about fire hounds still apply: they can still burn your whole base regardless of rain. My suggestion: Even if you base at oasis cover some important areas in flingos just for emergencies, you don’t even need to leave them on at oasis. And try to always face fire hounds in a fireproof area, or at least an area covered with an active flingo. i read first 2 sentences and i can already say no its summer you stay in base and for no reason, it starts smoking, its snake noise and i can click spacebar so it wont burn its 100% on oasis, its summer, it starts burning for no reason, thats it also i can show you my mod list if you are curious, we play everything on default, except grass gecko morphing turned to none i use all mods except refuable bone helm because its too op, i just wanted to have it just in case, i still didnt try bruh moment and wigfrid can eat icecream mod, because i added it yesterday and didnt make any icecream yet Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135874-middle-skilled-guide/page/2/#findComment-1519340 Share on other sites
