There is hardly anything recognisable to Singleplayer players in many screenshots of DST, let alone that functions in exactly the same way. Same principle applies the other way with the singleplayer DLCs Not just single player dlcs- if someone saw Willow running around with enlarged Bernie and thought they would get that same experience if they bought DS- they would be incredibly disappointed. I feel like it’s important to tell people that DST is a Direct SEQUEL taking place AFTER the events of DS characters have been found, (Wes, Maxwell) characters have learned new abilities (woodies wereforms) strange new things are happening to the lands (Return of them Moon stuffs) I mean even basic QoL features like being able to craft cowbell and Beefalo wardrobe are DST exclusive.
