CO2 ticket refueling

Recommended Posts

Another option for refueling a CO2 rocket is dumping lots of CO2 into the solo spacefarer module (most simply using Canister Filler and Emptier) then later pumping it through the outlet into the CO2 engine. Have the duplicant wear an Atmo Suit or also dump some oxygen that will accumulate at the ceiling making a pocket of breathable air. Since spacefarer contents are burdenless this allows high rocket speeds.

Yes. I used this to reach underdeveloped asteroids far out with my CO2 rocket. Basically you only need to connect unloader and tank.

Can you post a screenshot of your pipe layout? I couldn't get gas to refill the engine.

Is it possible to have a rocket refuel itself using it's gas cargo?

Yes, but it does need to be landed though. You can also do the same for steam.

In the bottom right bedroom is the storage port, which is connected to rocket output. Excess is directed back into storage. A lot of the plumbing complexity is to reduce internal heating and pipe breakage due to stalled steam. Refuling is handled manually by seeing subtracting the amount still in the fuel tank from 150, then adding 1 (since meters have weird leakages), then resetting the meter to that amount.

And then the much simpler CO2 design
