JNapoleon120 Posted September 15, 2021 Share Posted September 15, 2021 So I started a Classic version of the Spaced Out game on the Forest asteroid. There doesn't seem to be any close Rust Biomes nearby. Looking at the original game and the Spaced Out version of the Spaced Out mod there are Rust Biomes nearby. Is this suppose to be the case, because it makes the early game really rough with oxygen and pressure management. But in general; crucial resources are made unavailable to make you venture to your teleport asteroid. Classic starts make all crucial resources available on starting asteroid. Forest start is a bit tricky - I think I used all oxyferns I had on had with pip planting to lighten the oxygen load and started from electrolizer and added only rust after to make iron. This should be a medium difficulty map. Not for beginners. The oxygen and food deficiencies make it harder. The other two asteroids are spammed with oxygen and food. The other two asteroids are spammed with oxygen and food. getting food in the forest start is pretty easy as you can just spam mealwood. I find the swamp start to be the hardest. Swamp start is comfortable since you also have mealwood but also can easily get into grubfruit preserve. Which almost feels like cheating since you can’t do something similar in forest asteroid. You’d have to get into bbq quickly but grubfruit preserve is easier to get to. Just wrangle and farm. Both have good buffs. Also mealwood is nice for forest asteroid unless you play max difficulty. Half your base will be mealwood planters. Now take into account temperature management… it’s harder. The only problem with swamp biome is the starting debuffs from all the water. I find the swamp start to be the hardest. i agree. bog buckets require an absurd amount of irrigation, there is no algae (or slime) and very little clean water for (clean) O2 production.
