Question About Ping

I understand ping issue about servers because there is a lot of variable problems like my internet speed, the host's internet speed etc.

But why I still keep getting really bad ping in my alone servers too? It's not a performance problem, animations are smooth and I get 60 fps ingame. I mean why I don't host game in my computer instead of internet? What's the point of playing on a internet hosted game alone?

Ping should not be bc of mod in alone gameplay which even they didn't mentioned ping in mod section. (They called it performance problems, not ping)

i've struggled with lag, even on solo servers playing 64-bit if im hosting. that might be kust me, though

host performance and client performance are different things.

client performance is ping.

host performance is how laggy the server is.

What if you host the game locally instead of online? Does the game behave identically? There is an setting for that on the hosting screen.
