Equipment (mechanisms) wears out (breaks down).

So. We have suits that wear out with use and the suits need to be repaired. We have renewable resources (iron, gold, copper). Following the logic of the development of the game, the next step is to make a technique that wears out in the process.
Pros: A new skill is needed - a repairman, right after a plumber.
Cons: the Korean lizer will require a separate entrance, the walled up aquatuners (thermo-water regulators) will also need to be repaired.
The game will become more difficult and maybe more interesting.
What do you think about this?

I am quite interested u=in this idea, but the problem is late-game it will be really annoying to have to repair everything, and early-game wedon't have the morale boost for a tier 3 or higher job

Maybe make a separate setting? In the game menu: equipment wears out. Similar to survival and stress free game modes?

yeah that would be better, since new people would have trouble with it. I kind of like that, but it would still be very annoying for huge complex systems, or maybe volcanoe/magma rrelated stuff.

да, это было бы лучше, так как у новых людей будут проблемы с этим. Мне это вроде как нравится, но это все равно будет очень раздражать для огромных сложных систем или, может быть, вещей, связанных с вулканами / магмой.

More realism ...

Often more realism means less playability. I mean it`s not a bad idea but it adds a ton of maintainance to the game that eats up dupe time and breaks a ton of designs that are build around vacuum sealed setups.
