Yobbo
You can actually easily wrangle pufts and other airborne critters. Just put a critter drop-off anywhere near it, then select the "auto-wrangle" option without selecting anything else. Ranchers will go whistle at them and they fly over and get wrangled. I have never used a critter lure in all my time playing this game. Is this an exploit? I don't know. Is it better than critter traps and lures in every scenario? Yes. Just a part of ranching, I think. There's one pretty big caveat here, too -- it doesn't work with babies; only fully grown critters can be auto-wrangled. (Image is from my mod to make critters always wrangle-able)
