licet_insanire Posted February 6, 2021 Share Posted February 6, 2021 I plan to travel back and forth from Hamlet to Reign of Giants, but I am unsure the process always works well, especially after reading how one user got their Hamlet world deleted and replaced by a copy of their RoG world So, I decided that before doing this, I will backup my game files and, if something goes wrong, install the backup. However, I would like to test the backup I made, just to make sure the backup process took place correctly and I didn't lose anything, but I'm not sure how to do that without overwriting my current save files. Can anyone help me? (also, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I was considering Mods and Tools, but it seems to be mostly about mods, without specifying what the pertinent "tools" are).
