Damage over time in dst?

Since stat regen over time are becoming more common maybe damage over time could become a thing as well.

I'm thinking something like bleed since sw poison is very bland and boring. You take minimal ammounts of damage for a very long time.

Something like taking 10 damage from the attack itself and then losing 20 hp akin to being on fire or starving.

Uhm- your bleed effect is literally the same thing as SW poison :lol: but okay.

I sincerely hope we get the poisonous mobs from the dlc expansions at some point.. even if they’re locked behind a harder difficulty mode or a far off distant island. 

I would like to see Shipwrecked Snakes and Hamlet Scorpions in the empty-ish desert areas of the game & Maybe Poison Dart frogs in the Ocean or something.. 

An entire hazardous biome requiring protective gear to travel through would be much appreciated too.

Its not everyone’s cup of tea.. but it is established gameplay features Klei created for their franchise and instead of living for 10,000 day mega base worlds I would like a mode where I struggle to survive to day 4..

You know- that old feeling we all had when we played for the first time ever.. 

Having dangerous hostile poison inflicting Snakes/Scorpions spawn from the trees you chop at would certainly make things feel a lot more uncompromising.

Im not ashamed at all to admit my Deaths by Coconut because I was starving, during of hunger, inflicted with poison and dangerously low on Health and died because KONK! Yeah.. it happens.

and that’s literally the beauty of DS and its Expansion packs & I want & expect more of it with DST at some point.. <3
