Fixing Solar Power

Solar is way too easy a power source at this time in the new Spaced Out DLC. Spice things up by having  Eclipses and solar flares the disrupt this power source randomly...and for a random duration.

First off they should remove the free glass so it at least requires more research and a power system to power the glass forge. Next maybe make them require steel as well or at least reifned metals.

Solar flares would work as well. They could cause them to overheat which would require you to make a cooling system.

Strongly disagree. It's wonderful to have a power baseline which makes pushing through the early game grind much more comfortable.

Also, free Glass strongly incentivizes pushing out into space.

I believe solar panels are now making up for the lack of natural gas. The surplus hydrogen will be picked up by rockets in future updates. But the fact that a lot of glass buildings are available from the very beginning is, for me, too much. It is better to make glass windows indestructible as before, so that the player himself understands that in order to get access to fast inertia, the construction of a glass smelter is needed. And popovodu statements about the fact that it accelerates spacewalk. Duck is not. Well, maybe it speeds up the construction of the rocket and the first flights and what next. Anyway, without a developed main base, the colonization of the rest of the especially distant planetoids is impossible. So there is something to think about.
