Grass Gekkos Instead of Tumbleweeds?

Recommended Posts

I've been playing DST for the better part of two years now, but in the last few weeks, I've noticed something on new words which I haven't before, and I'm wondering if others have had similar experiences. Twice, I have found the dragonfly desert to contain grass gekkos upon world creation, but these deserts never spawn tumbleweeds. I've gone up and down through the whole dragonfly desert multiple times, and none are spawning. Is this a possibiity at world spawn that I just haven't seen before? Like how worlds randomly have berry bushes or juicy berry bushes, but for the most part, not both? Or is it something else.

Either way, I'm annoyed because I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to world gen, for whether I will keep playing a world for an extended period of time. Both of these worlds met all of my standards, except they didn't have tumbleweeds, which I consider a huge, and necessary part of the game.

This is a new feature introduced in "A New Reing". The oasis desert is the one that spawns tumbleweeds and voltgoats, and the dragonfly desert doesn't spawn them anymore, although old world's previous to this change still spawn tumbleweeds in both deserts

Wait what? This is incorrect. Dragonfly desert is the one with the tumbleweeds, while oasis desert only has volt goats.

I can confirm that this is wrong. The oasis desert does not spawn tumbleweeds.
