wickerbottom tentacles spawned near the portal

Hello, on a dedicated Klei server ( Hound Huggles) a player named Eyoja spawned wickertbottom's tentacles in the spawn area after surrounding the portal with a stone wall. every player who joined the server was instantly killed by the tentacles. How is it possible that game allows people to do it? could you do something to avoid this problem? thank you.

a while back people were talking about a qol update to disallow tentacles at spawn but nothing ever came of it

Why doesnt klei make anti greif into the game? I know you can use mods but theres no mod in public klei servers. I feel like greifing is an intented part of the game now
