Unpopular Opinion: I liked the Cave Walls better than what we have now

They looked neat, but caused problems with how things are rendered, I believe the games base doesn't support something like having certain walls being transparent based on camera direction.

 

In terms of ease of design and code limitations, im glad they are gone.

Since DST is finally being treated as a sequel, they may re-evaluate these cave walls and turn them into something else entirely. Similar to how they re-evaluated the cardboard ocean and are now filling that with content.

Im not exactly sure WHAT I would like to see down in the caves for a caves rework.. but in my head I picture it would have more content added to it someday.
