PSA : Gasses teleporting through tiles - An old bug returns

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, thought I'd put this here in case any of you had been having a similar issue. I first reported this back in 2018, seems it's back again.

In short, it appears that gasses can once again teleport through sealed off areas - in this case pertaining to airflow tiles covered in liquid. See pics/info in spoiler below.

Spoiler

Encountered this in my survival world - cleaning an infectious PO2 vent. Basically the room is sealed with airflow tiles covered in surface oil. This allows the deodorizers to still reach the PO2 in the geyser chamber, and output the O2 outside. Whilst trying to purge the room of a couple of O2 packets that got stuck when building it, I noticed the pressure was staying stable at ~800g. At first I thought maybe the deodorizers were outputting their O2 back into the room, but once there was no PO2 nearby, they became inactive. It was only once the geyser became dormant that I could see O2 outside of the build being pulled in from the top.

Further Testing proves it only occurs diagonally

Spoiler

A quick build in debug shows it clearly - the two rightmost chambers will never maintain a vacuum as the gas can enter the airflow tile *magically*.
