Flipside1
Hi Guys, I am unclear on what triggers some of the cards and grafts related to charge. "Whenever you gain Charge" - when does that trigger? Do you need to have an empty Cell for this to trigger or is it okay when it goes to overcharge? If so, does it mean that it triggers every turn? What about "Fully Charged"? Does that trigger ONLY if you weren't Fully Charged before? So you needs to spend charges and gain charges to become Fully Charged? Thanks for your answers! TF3
For gaining charge, you must have empty cells so it does not work with overcharge. For Fully Charged, its the state when your cells are full. When a card says it does something when you "gain" Fully Charged, like in the pic you presented with the Arc Loader, it only triggers the moment you fill up your cells. However, cards that simply say "Fully Charged:" followed by an effect, those are active whenever your cells are full. Edit: Here are all the cards that have a bonus effect while in the Fully Charged state. All of them gain their benefits at any point in time so long as your cells are full even if you didnt enter Fully Charged the turn you played them. Apparently, the only things in the game that give bonus when you GAIN Fully Charged are grafts. Here are all the grafts that give you a bonus when you GAIN Fully Charged. As a side note, both Arc Loader and Power Sink say "Whenever you gain Fully Charged" while Spare Magazine appears to be the odd one out and says "Whenever you become Fully Charged". Either way, they all function the same in terms of triggers. Flipside1
Thanks. That clears it up. So, for the grafts, you'll need cards that both spend AND gain charges to get the full benefit. Wumpus the 19th
charge and overcharge are 2 different mechanics. charge is gained once per turn and with "give charge" cards only if you an empty cell in the gun. overcharge is gained if you gain charge with no empty cells, both from "give charge" cards and with cards that explicitly give overcharge. fully charged just means you have no empty cells. empty means no charge in your cells. charge can be lost while you have overcharge/ you can have overcharge and have an empty clip. Frizz can be good for going to extremes of charge faster or slower. I.E. empty, full charge.
