McSanta
Hello there, I've got a question for pipes, please also refer to the picture for reference. What I try to do: Closed loop of polluted water (pWater), running in circles, using the pWater to warm an area During the loop, also feed pWater to farming tiles Using the end of a bridge as an entry point, any water used by the farming tiles, should be refilled by the pump. What I observe instead: the pump doesnt fill the pipe, but leaves gaps instead How should I adjust my loop, to always have it filled? Thanks, santa Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/116660-pipe-question/ Share on other sites
Gurgel
Try with a tank or, say, 10 pipe segments, as buffer between pump and circuit. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/116660-pipe-question/#findComment-1318142 Share on other sites
McSanta
This works much better, thank you! I still see the same gaps, but now the buffer has time to fill up, before the merge of pipes happen. Still, i dont recall this beeing the case in earlier playthroughs, has somebody noticed the same recently? But, as Gurgel mentioned, I always have at a minimum of a few pipes between the pump and the loop. (Mostly because I store liquids in centralized overpressure tanks so I have to run long lengths of pipes just to get to the use areas.) I have not specifically seen this on pumps, but I have seen this a few weeks ago with liquid reservoir outputs. These things do not operate continuously or with variable amounts of liquid; they are either on/off or provide 10kg or 0kg. ... at least what I've seen recently Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/116660-pipe-question/#findComment-1318241 Share on other sites

There was a larger change when Klei made the calculations for liquid multi-core and some behaviors have changed as a result. Nothing drastic, but your construction here may have been affected.
